100 Poultry Units Distributed Among Farmers

To promote the chicken poultry initiative of PM Imran khan, the livestock department distributed 100 poultry units between farmers at the Jalalpur Pirwala area.

MULTAN: To promote the chicken poultry initiative of PM Imran khan, the livestock department distributed 100 poultry units between farmers at the Jalalpur Pirwala area. Each poultry unit consists of 5 hens, and a cock, is provided to the applicant farmer at a subsidized rate of 1140 per unit. Poultry units were distributed to those farmers that received training at a workshop about how to bread chicken and treat them in the case of illness.

Dr. Jamshed Akhtar said that those farmers who had appeared successful were informed through phone calls to receive their poultry units and all necessary trainings. He said that this initiative would not only be made people’s access to a healthy diet but also bring profits to the owners of poultry units

Dr. Jamshed said that DG livestock Dr. Mansoor Ahmad and livestock south Punjab Aftab Pirzada ordered officials to remain engaged with the farmers and continue to provide them guidance and technical assistance
