IRSA releases 140406 cusecs water

Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Wednesday released 140406 cusecs water from various rim stations with an inflow of 132714 cusecs

ISLAMABAD: Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Wednesday released 140406 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 132714 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, the water level was 1511.98 feet in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam, which was 119.98 feet higher than its dead level of 1392.00 feet. 72300 and 660000 cusecs inflow and outflow water in the dam were recorded respectively.

The water level was 1184.95 feet in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam, which was 134.95 feet higher than its dead level of 1050.00 feet whereas 16008 and 30000 cusecs inflow and outflow of water were recorded respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh is 16400, 96572 at Taunsa, and 54435 cusecs at Sukkur were recorded respectively. Similarly, a total of 16400 cusecs of water was released from the Kabul River at Nowshera and from the Chenab River, 16400 cusecs were released at Marala.
