Catherine launched Pilio, a sustainability innovation company, in 2011 as a spin-out from the University of Oxford. Since its inception, Pilio has worked tirelessly to create transformative insetting solutions across the cotton and fashion industries, addressing critical issues related to energy, climate, nature, and people.
Pilio’s commitment to sustainability is evident in their three-year collaboration with SAMA^Verte and Better Cotton, where they are pioneering the on-the-ground implementation of biodiversity principles and criteria. Additionally, Pilio is working on a remarkable initiative to produce natural colored cotton, an undervalued but environmentally and socially beneficial variety that holds great promise for the future of sustainable fashion.
